Twice now, back-to-back,
The rain had caught me red-handed; in the act!
Indoors, I stepped outdoors,
And it fell like a sack! A downpour like never before!!
“It was an important day! I had so much work!!” I complained.
“Man complains, and I repay.” He explained.
Unarmed and helpless, with no respite,
The rain poured down, with all its might.
I looked around for some shelter,
Before the rain grew any mightier.
Alas! All I could see, were people running helter-skelter,
While the rain, it seemed, was never any merrier!
And then I remembered! At noon that day,
“It’s never been so hot” did everyone say,
Until that night, when I finally stepped out,
The Rain arrived, thundering aloud.
Hello, I am the river,
Suddenly, I got a great fever!
I went to the doctor for a solution,
The doctor replied, “It is Pollution!”
When I heard the news, I was shocked,
Nevertheless, I set out, to put a stop.
I took precautions, medicines, whatever you say,
But this kind of nuisance won’t stay at bay!
All my hope had gone, alas!
Only my mind and body could last.
I found the reason,
To this horrible season.
It’s because of you, my dear humans,
That I'm suffering from this nuisance.
But don’t lose hope, you still have time,
To keep this world from getting outrageous.
